In September 2025 we inspected the school's large low-slope roof, walking the membrane along the brick parapet walls, checking drains and rooftop penetrations, and photographing ponding and worn granulated sections for the school's records.

Neighborhoods where we've worked
Minnetonka was a farm township until it incorporated as a village in 1956 and became a city in 1968, and the neighborhoods still show that build-out history. Most of our recent jobs cluster in a few of them.
Williston
Tucked northeast of Townline Road and southeast of Groveland, Williston is full of well-kept single-family homes on mature, tree-lined lots. Several of our recent inspections, including a low-slope commercial roof, sit right along Williston Road itself.
Groveland
An older neighborhood of ranch and rambler homes on wooded lots near Highway 101. Many of these roofs are on their second or third shingle layer, and mature tree canopy means more granule loss and debris in valleys.
Glen Lake / Oak Terrace
One of Minnetonka's oldest built-up areas, developed largely from the 1940s through the 1960s near the site of the former Glen Lake Sanatorium, which closed and was demolished in 1993. Original roof framing and older flashing details are common here.
Opus Business Park
A roughly one-square-mile employment and mixed-use area on Minnetonka's southeast side with office, light-industrial and newer apartment buildings. Flat and low-slope roofs here need a different inspection than a residential shingle roof.
When storms last hit Minnetonka
Minnetonka sits in the same hail corridor that hits much of the west metro. NOAA storm reports put 2" hail near our Minnetonka job sites on September 21, 2025, and the largest hail reported near the city since 2015 was 2.25" on August 9, 2020. A damaging wind gust of 70 mph was reported near Minnetonka on August 29, 2024. Hail that size can bruise shingles, crack vent caps and dent gutters, downspouts and rooftop units, even when nothing looks wrong from the driveway.

Permits for a roof replacement in Minnetonka
