Permits in the City of Maplewood
The City of Maplewood Building Inspection Division (1902 County Road B East) issues residential roofing permits directly; the fee is $146 as of this writing. Repair King pulls the permit under our Minnesota contractor license (BC695228).
Maplewood's process is photo-based: before the final inspection, we upload photos of the roof sheathing, underlayment, ice-and-water barrier and cut-in ridge vent to the city's drop box rather than scheduling a mid-job site visit for most re-roofs.
Minnesota code requires an ice-and-water barrier extending from the eave edge to at least 24 inches inside the exterior wall line on every Maplewood roof we replace.
